Booked this last minute as we needed a dog friendly hotel for one night and was not disappointed. It's middle-of-nowhere rural but fitted out in an extremely stylish, modern fashion that suits the age of the building. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long time and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. My one tiny gripe is that although there is plenty of seating in the pub area, the very small bar makes it difficult to order from when five locals are leaning up against it

This delightful Inn is in the most Beautiful West Country landscape close to Wimbleball lake. No bright lights but a lovely traditional pub with modern facilities and a clever French chef backed up by a team of people determined to ensure you enjoy your visit. We had a lovely night's stay and dinner here with the family. Decor in the pub and room was to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the campsite next door, so the location couldn't have been better. Went for a meal on the Friday night and went back on the Saturday for the hog roast as well. Really friendly staff, great service and excellent food. Highly recommended.

We came down from London for the Mid Devon Farm Show. The Inn is on a quiet road, the rooms are clean and fabulous, the beds are comfortable, the staff are kind and efficient and the food is completely fresh, simple (but delicate) and delicious.

Went with hubby and three friends for lunch yesterday, what a beautiful place, very friendly staff, and excellent food, I can't fault, if you are in the area, you really must try this pub.

What a treat - our room was beautiful, the food was exceptional and the staff were all outstanding. We had a wonderful stay and our dog loved it. Highly recommend a visit - this is an absolute gem in a great location.
